Palaka fabric, which was originally used for workwear in Hawaii, is often compared to Japanese “kasuri” fabric (a fabric that has been woven with thread fibers dyed specifically to create patterns and images.) The unique fabric has been designed with a refreshing blue grid pattern based on the palaka motif.
